Anne Marie Tiernon launched her career WMBD 31 Peoria in Illinois in 1989. Then in 1991 she headed to Indianapolis and began her reporting for WISH-TV's 11PM newscast and anchored the CBS affiliate's 5:30 PM newscast alongside colleague Scott Swan. From 2000 until 2004 Tiernon was anchor of the newscast at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati Ohio as the anchor of the 5 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts with veteran anchor Dave Wagner. Tiernon is a Emmy Award-winning journalist has been covering major and small reports throughout her career. Tiernon's medical reports brought the National Headliner Award first place for medical/science journalism. Tiernon was born in Indiana, Fort Wayne and is currently married to Terry Tiernon.
