Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life through her imaginative and creative imagination. Before she was able to write or read, she began to compose her own songs. The first guitar she received was gifted to her at the age of eight. She started singing at an Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. The same year, she recorded her debut album for Gold Band Records an independent small label. While in high school, she made herself known to the community, but her ambition was bigger. On the 14th of March, 1964, following her graduation from high-school her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (both 1967) as well as Something Fishy were among her first Monument Records chart-topping records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female vocalist for his show that was syndicated from the beginning. Parton accepted the job and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 when her solo singles like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene outsold the collaborations. The song by Parton, I Will Never Be Loved by You (for Wagoner), reached the top of the. 1 spot after they split. Its first appearance at the top spot was in 1974.
