Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and songwriter. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions for The One Direction band. He was born in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England on February 1, 1994, and is the son of Des Styles and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where along with three fellow students, he created his musical group, White Eskimo. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they won. The musician always had an interest in music. However, he was enthused to be a lawyer or physical therapist. He was employed in an area bakery on a part-time basis to help his family financially. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010, and was a part of Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He got selected. This meant that the group he was in had to be disbanded. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they'd be forming a group named One Direction after the X Factor audition. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to form the band in 2010. The group performed hits such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the candidates for the award. But they came in third, a place behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive any cash prize. However, Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction in order for them to join Syco Records.
